Eyewear goes through a lot, especially over summer (we get it!). A little too much fun leading to a broken lens, sand where it shouldn’t be, or an unexpected dip in the sea can all leave your frames looking worse for wear. The good news? They usually don’t need replacing, just a little TLC.
We believe a great pair of frames should stay with you for years, not seasons. That’s why we stock quality eyewear designed to last, and offer services that help extend the life of the frames you already own.

Repairs & Refurbishment
Daily wear, being tossed into bags without a case, borrowed by the kids, or the occasional drop, all take their toll. Our team of experts can repair or fully refurbish your glasses so your frames feel new again. From replacing a lens or tightening screws to deeper frame adjustments, we focus on restoring comfort, fit, and appearance.
Level 1 - $90
A single round of careful hand-polishing helps restore shine, smooth out dullness, and lift mild calcification, perfect if your frames just need a refresh after everyday use.
Level 2 - $105
Two rounds of hand-polishing are applied, with extra focus on problem areas. This treatment is best suited to moderate wear, noticeable calcification, and scratches that need a bit more care.
Level 3 - $150
When frames have been truly lived in, this level offers a more intensive restoration. Multiple rounds of manual polishing are carried out over several sittings, allowing our experts to carefully address deep scratches, heavier calcification, and more pronounced blemishes. It’s a slower, more considered process, reserved for frames that deserve extra time and attention.

Cleaning
When you purchase your frames from Index, ongoing care is part of the experience. Our complimentary cleaning service goes beyond a quick wipe, instead we use specialised tools and cleaning solutions to ensure your eyewear is spotless. Regular professional cleaning keeps your frames comfortable, clear, and lasting longer.

Simple Tips for Happy Frames
-
Avoid heat. Don’t leave your frames in direct sun or hot places, like your car, as heat can warp frames and damage lenses.
-
Use a case. If your glasses aren’t on your face, they should be in their case. It’s the easiest way to prevent scratches, knocks, and bent arms.
-
Rinse after salt exposure. After a day at the beach or out on the boat, gently rinse your glasses in fresh water. Most frames contain metal components, and removing salt helps prevent corrosion and keeps everything in good condition.
